
Priya Raman Jarrell
Bharatnatyam is one of the most cherished and the most popular of classical Indian dance-forms. It is considered the epitome of Indian cultural expression. The goal of this class is to train students to learn the classical dance form through fresh and polished interpretations and give a new sheen to the traditional treasure.
This class will concentrate on teaching students the techniques, the mudras, the expressions− all an integral part of all forms of Indian dancing. It will also help students translate and express their skills in contemporary dance styles using classical moves.
The class is to be instructed by Priya Raman-Jarrell a trained Bharatnatyam dancer under Guru Kousalya. Priya started her training at the age of 3 and trained and performed Bharatnatyam in multiple temples and auditoriums around India until the age of 16. She then travelled around the country and has had opportunities learning and performing other forms of Indian classical, folk and contemporary dances. She continues to increase her knowledge of Bollywood and Contemporary dance and performs with the Company Dancers of Jhankaar Bollywood Dance

Nisha creates a unique style of living poetry for her students through dance. In addition to instruction and giving performances and workshops at studios, churches, schools, corporations, private companies, private/social events, her love for dance has now taken her to facilitate this artform as a heling tool and stress buster.
With over 20 years of teaching experience and commitment to ongoing study of the classical, contemporary and folk dances of India, her goal
is for every student ages 3 and up, to experience the fitness and fun of Bollywood Dance.

Nashira started studying the art of dance at the age of 2. Making her profession known at a young age she began studying in all elements of dance at various dance schools such as Kawanova School of dance, Russian Ballet, Koresh, Broadway Center for Dance, Heidi’s Academy, Anne Marie’s Dance Studio, Brandywine Center for Dance, NYU, University of Arts, Crystal Dansport, La Luna, and Diamond Gymnastics.
Nashira has dedicated her life to the Arts for over 25 years. She has taught throughout the tri state area, and has opened many avenues of dance to a lot of different facilities.
With being a teacher and mentor for children and adults Nashira is also a natural performer. Taking her career as a professional dancer to high heights she has performed and opened for many different top charting artist such as Mary Mary, Daddy Yankee, Salt n Pepper, to name a few. As a performer she got recgnition in many different events and shows such as Dorothy in the Wiz, Annie, Through a child’s eyes, Opening shows In CUBA LIBRE, Red Cross, Jazz Festival, Hispanic Realm, Harlem globe trotters, Major Fashion Shows for various clothing designers, opening art programs for different schools day cares and offices.
Nashira also opened her own dance studio in September 2007, NFuse Dance Studio located in Old New Castle DE. Offering all dances Nashira was trained in- ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, lyrical, salsa, ballroom, acro, cheerleading, voice, Musical theater, Pointe, bollywood, pop n lock, break dancing, hip hop, yoga, spiritual movement, forever fitness, nutrition, tot classes, and company.
Nashira has dedicated her life to the arts making dance and performing arts her profession to soar in.
